nanao MS-2933 in a windy 2 : maximum Horizontal size issue.

Hey ! got a working MS-2933 as a replacement for my beloved Windy 2 ( same Toshiba tube as my Nanao 2931 driven Blast City)

i knew it's a different Yoke and that i would need to calibrate everything. !

It boots ok but i can't get the H size to fill the screen. Everything is maxed out in the Service menu ( H size and H size limit)

tried to mess with the H drive pot on the chassis with zero improvement...what does it even do?

Didn't mess with b+ and flyback pot yet. Would this help

read the ms-2931 manual a few times ! Can't find the R-SHIFT ajustement in the service menu ...? Does it even exist ?

Any clue where to look at ?

I remember width issues with mine using a stock monitor. How does a CPS2 board look? IIRC CPS3 was bang on width wise and CPS2 much wider with everything set to max width.

Yes . It’s the same as on a 2931.

H size and h size limit are maxed out . And I still have one inch left on each side . (See picture)

What other settings can I ajust ? Didn’t mess with B+ and flyback yet .

What’s the purpose of H.drive ? Moving the pot did nothing .

on K7000 you can change the Width cap value to help. Is there such a cap on a Nanao?

no but its likely to be around 270-390nf rated at 250v or 400v
the 2933 sould be a match to 2931 tubes, might be worth checking the b+, think it would be same as 2931 at 180v
only worked on two 2933 chassis so not much experience with these

managed to get full screen with recalbox RGB jamma pbc, atomiswave PCB, some Mister arcade cores ( CPS2 CPS1 , Batrider) !!!!

I can't get full screen for PGM games and Mister Cave cores.

Will try adjusting b+ and flyback strenght /focus but i'm not really sure if it can really help for this issue.

Adjust the hv pot slowly till you get the size I have a windy 2 with 2933 and that got me the correct horizontal size.
