Or, you know, just like, Tate the TV? What problem is this solving? Having to carry the weight of the TV for 5 seconds?

Re: Gief's BVM envy thread
Anyone else watch SD TV streams on their CRTs?
I set up an XBox 360 running over RGB (which as an aside, looks insanely crisp on a CRT) into a PVM and thought I'd try to stick the Xbox on my network and see if it detected my NAS - it did!
It doesn't like a lot of newer video file types but my older AVIs all work perfectly. Which is great as all of my 80s and 90s TV shows are in that format.
It's also incredibly forgiving of low quality older digital video files.
Can't beat a bit of Dom Diamond commentating when you're playing some shmups.

Re: Gief's BVM envy thread
Mate I’m sure you’re bored of me telling you… but I think this is my favourite setup on here.
There are much bigger, and more exotic setups, but this is just a classy, clean, grown up game room.
Huge fan.
Edit: I actually just bought a DVD player so I can watch films on CRT once I’m fully set up, and hadn’t considered streaming.
I’ve got a PS3, so that should be good for YouTube, I think?
Edit 2: Wait!!! Do you have old GamesMaster episodes on your NAS?!

Thanks! If you're ever over in Dublin give me a shout and give you an all access tour
Yeah I had to downsize a hell of a lot with my last move, had to move on my CRT hoard for one, lost an Aero along the way, but have somehow managed to scrape together this clean little setup in a ridiculously small box room. Honestly delighted with it.
The PS3 should work great for youtube. I used to actually use this Xbox with netflix, it was able to stream content in 4:3 without black bars.
Do you have a NAS yourself? Seriously try connecting the PS3 up to your network if you do and it should show up! PS3 to CRT and boom, Gamesmaster all day every day

Bittersweet for me. Happy to see it up and running in its new home, but I miss it already! Couldn't have gone to a nicer chap though

If you have a flash cart, there's a rom hack that removes the sound.

Haha, you madman!
I might have taken them up five storeys but It's worth noting I did have two friends and a dolly.

Re: Gief's BVM envy thread
I had no idea an Aero was going to be so heavy until one landed on my doorstep.
Up until that point I'd moved around 25 inch steel cabinets and 29 inch plastic ones. So thought it was going to weight somewhere in the middle there on the lighter side given the monitor size.
How wrong I was. It's like trying to move a 29 inch plastic cabinet full of bricks.
