Love the electrocoin mvs6. Super nostalgic! And it's the cab I mostly played neogeo on in the early 90s. Large screen, thumping speakers in crisp stereo sound. What a beast! It alone could probably heat my entire house.

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
As a contrast to chris beautiful original vintage machine comes this...
An absolute monster straight outta szhenzen!
Story is a man donated it to 2nd charity, was told when dropping it off that it might be worth some money, decided to donate it any way and give the proceeds to a cancer charity.
Auction came in just shy of £5000... make of that what you will but if people are willing to pay that for bootleg junk like this, i think we as a collective need to rethink the value of well kept vintage originals? It really should be the other way round?

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
This is double optimistic, but let’s hope whoever bought it was really just donating to charity and went on to install the cab into a kids ward at a local hospital or something?!

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
Any idea about the value of a Dead or Alive Sega Model 2?
It has original filter bard with jamma adapter connected to it.
Been around for a while but don't remember seeing one for sale.
Thanks in advance.

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
Price seems to be about the same since before the world went bonkers. I think it used to be about 100 euro.
The shipping and everything else is a bit steep but you can probably thank brexit for that.

Seems a bargain, I paid about £300 for a NOS Noir 2player control panel, although mine was fully wired with sticks and buttons.

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
I can (and I think a lot of people here can) vouch for the quality of an Alberto panel.
Shipping is an odd one with him, as last time I bought he wanted to ship a dozen or so panels to me and then I’d have to send them out to other UK buyers…
This didn’t actually come to pass, and I assume he had the same arrangement with other buyers, one of whom sent mine to me (?).
With shipping and 2024 prices, plus assured quality, I reckon that’s just about a decent price I reckon.

Was the the one that came up on the FB group last year in the box?thegreathopper wrote: November 27th, 2024, 9:35 pm Seems a bargain, I paid about £300 for a NOS Noir 2player control panel, although mine was fully wired with sticks and buttons.
Thanks for the opinion guys I've also been chatting to Guy & he was saying the same thing about quality so it looks like I will be biting the the bullet I just hope he marks the value on the package, $40 would be EMS or similar I guess.ChrisBEANS wrote: November 27th, 2024, 9:46 pm I can (and I think a lot of people here can) vouch for the quality of an Alberto panel.

It will leave me with a spare 1L6B Noir & a 2L12B (both bare) which will go on eBay to help reimburse some of the cost.

My Noir panel came from Wendy at HK Legend, it was boxed and new, but the last one she had.

I just recently got a 1L8B Vewlix Dia Blue panel from Alberto for exactly that price.Pete wrote: November 26th, 2024, 6:22 pm I just got a quote from Alberto for a repro Namco Noir oem style 2L12B CP is this about right? $130 + $40 shipping to the UK ?

I've bought a few bits from him and he does fantastic work, I wouldn't buy from anyone else.
If you like I can check to see what was declared on the parcel but I didn't pay import charges.

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
Good good! word of mouth is often the best form of advertising.
Alberto & I have been chatting in PM for a few days & are now finishing everything.
I actually quite like this 1P:
https://www.arcadeartshop.com/product/o ... trol-panel
But that card reader just ruins it for me & prob everybody else too as its sat there for years.

I quite like the extra gubbins on control panels. I’ve got the Vewlix dia orange SFV panel with the USB port and it’s kinda rad.Pete wrote: November 29th, 2024, 9:40 pm Good good! word of mouth is often the best form of advertising.

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
I bought a Windy control panel from Alberto, 10/10 work for sure.
He did a custom Neo Geo layout 4 buttons per side 2 player, really good work.

I can vouch for Alberto as well. Perfect quality, although it can take some time to recieve the panel.
