Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

Post by pubjoe »

Yosai had Deathsmiles up for £1200 (maybe factoring a repair). That was the ebay price I was tempted by back in 2022 anyway - I just checked. Maybe I missed a lower forum price.

Tops seem to value it about the same or slightly under Mushi.

What's EOJ's Cave Tracker link again? I always end up going round the houses to find it. The cave-stg link here now brings me to this message:
The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.

Hey everyone. I have an official Taito Vewlix jamma kind in my tate diamond but in all honesty the shmups I want are well out of my budget.

The kit has all the parts but no box or instructions. It also has a couple of wires spliced for a card payment system that was on it when I bought it.

I also have the Wei Ya JVS power supply for it.

How much should I be asking for it?

What's the going rate of original ST-V Guardian Force?

Looking to buy if they appear out in the wild, but concerned about getting bamboozled with a conversion. :(

Actually, I’m prooooobably (but not definitely) going to sell my Electrocoin Six Slot too

Is £1500 asking too much? I bought it in a right state for £950 (I think??) and I’ve done a ton to it.
Heavily modified JLF sticks that wouldn’t normally fit on an Electrocoin cab.

There’s a thread showing everything that I can link if anyone’s genuinely interested.

Edit: Misread what you wrote @geotrig ! Can’t say I’ve seen one on UKVAC, but I’ll have a butchers…

£1500 definitely represents what I’ve paid and then spent when you consider the six slot (came with a four), chassis service, new EL panels, stripped and rust sorted and repainted etc. repopulated CP, overlay etc…
Can’t remember if this came with the card reader or it got a new one

Anyway, all that is kinda irrelevant and was for fun/experience/my own benefit. Just trying to work out a fair price.

I think for so much cab in such good shape it seems about right?

I’d have kept it forever (and still might), but when I move it’s unlikely to make the Mrs Beans cut…

What you paid for it and spent on it is completely irrelevant though, i'd just start insanely high like everything arcadewise and work your way down if it doesnt sell. 2250 to start maybe?
