Received some nice stuff from Arcade Art Shop. Love the quality of the decals.
The hue is a bit more reddish compared to the more orange hue of the decals on the side parts of my Universal.

What's missing now is just a 2L12B panel

So I found him on instagram as yingchun_sun where I made contact with him. I’m currently living in LA at the moment (long story I’m actually working in Super Nintendo world ) so what I paid would be in usd. The cab was $1700 plus $700 shipping to your door. It came with a crt too. And he even gave me a capcom ashtray full of tokens. Mini cutes here in the states cost $5000 beat up at the moment.
I think he’s away at the moment and not very active so I’m not sure what luck you will have. I was patient, didn’t badger him so hopefully I didn’t **** him off

I’ll get some more shots of the cab later with all the insides.
What kind of CRT did your cab come with? I assume some domestic Chinese one, not something actually used in Japanese cabs. How does its image quality compare to genuine arcade monitors? Is the CRT in yours new old stock or used? Any burn-in? What about the power supply, is it multi-voltage capable? 120-220V? It didn't come with any side art from what I can gather. Is there anything else one has to source before one has a complete cute cab?

The seller is very slow to reply, so hopefully I can get some answers from an actual owner. He has so far only quoted me shipping costs, but I assume the cab will cost the same as yours, which if true is actually quite reasonable, given the quality is ok. You seem to have no complaints so it seems that it is up to par. I wonder if he can make a Neo-19 repro as well, would be sweet to have one of each.

After many frustrating days of trying I finally got payment instructions from the seller. But he did not provide any pictures or any details at all about the unit. At this point it seems I will have to take risk and transfer a large amount of money blind. I sure hope this guy is legit and not some scammer.

This will be one of the bigger risks I ever took in this hobby though. I guess in a few weeks I'll know which way the dice fell. Even if it is legit, lot of bad, bad stuff could happen during shipping which would be out of my hand while it would likely be paid for out of. I'll report how things go here, some time in the future.

So you're paying direct rather than through the seller on Alibaba? Could you share the costs? Hope it works out for you.

The seller says the arcade cabs are sold off site. I guess he doesn't want to give Ali his due share. The cost was 2270 USD with shipping. I imagine there will be about 25% import tax on top of that once it enters the country, so with conversion rate and such lets say an even 3K total.

I already have a SEGA Blast City, whose looks I never really care for. I alway thought the Taito Egret or Sega Astro City cabs were much better looking. Of course the mini cabs from Capcom and SNK take the cake in the looks departement.

If this Cute is actually real, arrives in one piece and is actually as pleasing in person as in pictures I may just finance its purchase by selling off the Blast. I am pretty sure I will regret selling the Blast though, so I may end up keeping both.

Nudge them to make Pony repros. Either the 18" or 25" will do

Interesting indeed. I'm getting ahead of myself but if this goes well then one concern is the morality test the seller might be faced with if fifteen new customers request an order at once.

It apparently comes with a CRT monitor of unknown make, age and size. I suppose all will be known upon safe delivery. Or perhaps the previous buyer could share the details before then.

I am not sure the seller has a large stock of these ready to go, whether they are made to order or any other pertinent details to be honest.

Given the price of a genuine Capcom cute I’d say there would be a good market for these things if the quality is up to par. But guessing from the seller’s nonexistent advertising and slow response time I doubt he is in a hurry to get a lot of orders in.

Similar thought; I was wondering how scaleable the reproduction is.

I got this amazing Japanese market ratchet screwdriver with zero play in non-ratchet mode & very smooth in ratchet mode:

Excellent like all Made in Japan tools I've been building a good collection of recently.

I also have the Vessel version for bits:
