I agree proper CCC is the king but I'm trying to remain a functioning addict. I traded most of my teeth for the real thing long ago.

I really did not take the best picture as I wasn’t thinking about posting. Just checking that it worked…

Sony 2950 QM, with a remote and flight case.

Image is beautiful!!

Flight case is utterly battered, but I really like it so I’m going to put some thought into restoring it. No clue how?! Would be easy if I could take it apart, but it’s allllllll rivets :problem:

If you need to remove the rivets you can release them by drilling the heads off, just choose a drill slightly larger than the rivet body.

If you need to install the rivets back in again afterwards I've got a tool you can have a go with :whoopsie:

LOL, my issue now is getting the bloody cabinets downstairs!!

Everything is going into storage for a bit, and the only bump in road is the cabs I manhandled upstairs with three other blokes.

Mistakes have been made!!

Wow, that's an amazing looking 2950 QM. Was that another spur of the moment purchase? :D

Exactly that! Once I combine forces with the future Mr’s Beans, I’m hoping to have some proper space for a nerd cave.

I’m actually coming to terms with the fact that I have far more stuff than I can ever realistically use, but I can’t bring myself to part with any of it.

I’m starting to become a screen hoarder. Not cool!!

I’ve always wanted one of the bigger ones since I got the 21 inch.
Never seen one at a realistic BIN price or in a legit, not artificially inflated auction (that’s always relisted :problem: )

This was an auction, starting at a quid, and as I could neither afford nor accommodate it, I put in a low ball bid just to scratch the itch, and bloody won.

Hah, nicely done. The excitement of those situations followed by 'oh ****, what have I done??' is mighty

The flight case for that thing must be fairly close to half the size of a cabinet!

It’s 70cm tall, and the footprint is actually slightly larger than any of my cabs.

Nice monitor, but why even try to fix up some old flightcase? Do you have any use for them? Is it future grailmaterial?
Personally i'd just use the monitor and ditch the case especially if its in bad condition
