There overpriced Peter.. Simple as, I do all my own work.. Every part, and they cost a small fortune to put right.
Some guys have to get there chassis repaired, get paint done. Costing even more these days.

Re: Items spotted on eBay
Have never had an Egret 2 myself, is it possible to neck the tube when using the rotate mechanism?
If not I wonder how they broke it.

I've heard of someone doing this with a newly received E2. The cables were snagged.

Ouch!
I think I'd give up arcade gaming on the spot.

Its still meant for service engineers & not home users so you need to know what your doing before rotating.
Rotating a Sega framed monitor can be easier.

Re: Items spotted on eBay
What's the going rate for an Aero these days, any idea? Haven't seen Ronnie list one for a while (his NACs seem to be sitting around the €1895)
It's all a bit mental but it's still nowhere near the madness I've seen on asking prices for candy cabinets in the US. Currently an Egret II up on arcade-projects for $6,500

Re: Items spotted on eBay
Wow £1420
for a cab with a broken screen & one fuzzy picture so who knows what the actual condition is like.
Still could be a cheap fix if the chassis is good.

The going rate is the next listed for (cheeky) price as that's what people think its worth & will pay.

That egret is only worth it to someone who wants a cab for spares or has a spare tube/chassis
