Same about physical copies. I have 10x more music digitally but most of it I never listen to after awhile and forget I even have. But the albums on my shelf I can pull down I play non-stop. The big win for my digital side is I can basically edit albums on the fly, maybe a soundtrack for a film didn't have certain songs on it, I add them. Maybe I like a different version of a song (single vs. album mix) and put it on the album instead. I also own quite a few pre-emphasis discs with no player flags so they are impossible to decode correctly on a real CD player, they have to be ran through dBpoweramp and the files played/reburned. Same with HDCDs I don't have a compatible player to decode but most of these sound wonderful when you unfold them digitally and play the files back in 24bit.

Make your vinyl sound like digital with none of the drawbacks!

Hilariously I listen to a lot of vinyl rips from people that know how to tidy them up transparently and it's wonderful.

This is absolutely nuts!

I’ve watched a few of this guys videos over the years. He’s just begun to crawl out of the rabbit hole of digital snake oil before falling straight down the vinyl one!

There’s something wrong with his setup and I’m perplexed as to what. I see he’s changed deck now after having loads of issues with the last one. The hum seems to have gone but those audio samples sound atrocious. He’s using a Cadenza and that’s a good cart for getting deep into the groove and eliminating surface noise.

And trying to measure static from different sleeves? :palm: and then the fancy brushes :palm: and then the stupid furutech thing? :palm: He’s more confused than when he started!

I buy 40 year old NM- records from Discogs, clean them on a vacuum RCM, pop them in a mofi sleeve and they go straight onto the deck and play with zero effects from static. Quite often there are zero clicks and pops and no noticeable surface noise at listening levels. The record gets a quick pass with a cheap brush the next time it’s played, and the stylus only gets cleaned every 10 records or so. Job done.

Brilliant design, too bad the stylus options are so limited though. Only way I could fit a turntable in the living room would be if I could hang it on the wall.

was late getting to watch this ,pricing on this is nuts ...as my 1st impressions when he took it out of the box was somewhat mixed between basic and cool and one of the 1st things i noticed was the 3.5m jack optput great for connecting a set of headphones but give at least one other optional output :eh: . , I didn't like the stand seemed a bit wabbly but sure its fine. like emph above this lack of stylus options is a mark against it even if a few more options where available.
Think the price Techmoan paid for it with the additional contribution is about all it looks to be worth to me , would go great in many houses and get better scale adoptation if they could get to that pricing ....but seeing as the 10 white ones sold for 3.5k what do i know ! :lolno:

I wonder if some company in China will rip the design off and make a cheaper version? If they strip out the preamp, track scanning and use off the shelf pickups, it would be really attractive.

I have a B&O P6, sounds great even after taking a few hits from the builders who don’t appreciate good music.
