Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hey all,
I spend most of my time on the Arcade-Projects forums (it's not blocked at the office) but now that I've finally acquired some machines I figure it's better to extend my presence.
I like to tinker and build things, I've got a few restores under my belt, and I'm hoping I can meaningfully contribute to the community.

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hello hello!! Long time lurker first time joiner. Figured I’d pull the trigger finally and join the forum. I’m a fan of cave games and I own two new Astro city cabs. Not sure what else to put down.

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hello everyone!
I'm a big fan of 90s 2D fighting games (especially Capcom) and have joined to soak up some knowledge as I've been after a candy cab for quite a while but am intimidated by the diy maintenance/refurbishment element of owning these machines.
At the moment I mostly game on an NTSC-J Sega Saturn with a 33" CRT television which definitely scratches the arcade itch but I'm hopeful that in time I'll have the confidence (and space) to go for the real thing.

Don't be intimidated by maintenance. There's not that much stuff in there and information/help is plentyful.

Re: Introduce yourself here!
I didn't even know about this forum until I registered on Arcade Projects and found out through other forum members about Arcade Otaku
Got my first Supergun about 4 years ago and wanted to get into grabbing my favorite Arcade system growing up
The Neo Geo MVS
I've always dream about owning a Neo Geo and with the Supergun it was a dream come true!
During the four years I also got into the Neo Geo MVS, CPS2, Atomiswave and currently the ST-V and IGS PGM
When I build up more experience I'd like to get into the NAOMI as well but that's a bit more complicated as its not JAMMA
I'm also big into Modding my Arcade sticks and gaming on a CRT Monitors/TVs

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hi! New member here
I build cabinets as a hobby, mostly with just CRT TV's connected to Rpi or PC builds with 15khz 240p native output. I decided its now time to build / restore the real thing. I am starting with the chassis and monitor, I have got hold of an MS9-29 and a MS2932 with A68KJU96X and I'm ready to start assembling and testing... I am also terrified on working on an open CRT monitor lol, so being super careful! I will probably have lots of questions, so sorry in advance if some of them are rather silly!

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hi everyone, I just signed up because I’m in the process of restoring a Windy 2 cabinet for my Gradius IV hornet arcade that I picked up on a recent trip to Japan. I’m a big Gradius fan and huge Playstation collector too. I’ll probably have lots of questions as I get everything set up and working but looking forward to getting stuck in. Pics and threads to follow in time.

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hello,
No cabinet yet but I have been looking.
I have an extensive electronics background so there is nothing scary about ownership/repair for me. I think it's time I had one but it seems exceedingly difficult given my location and availability of older japanese cabinets. Figured I would join here and see if it helps the search.

Hello! My name is John and Im from Springfield, MO. I've been collecting pinball machines for over 10 yrs now and dabbled in some vids, but I recently picked up my first candy cab from a friend. I've got a sweet cyber lead and looking forward to learning more about it and getting my first game in this cabinet!

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Good morning everyone.
I've been an old lover since I was little and spent my weekly pay in the arcades.
Currently I have managed to achieve having my own Japanese arcade at home with a Vewlix C.
I come to this forum full of doubts in search of your wisdom.
greetings from Spain
