I've acquired and scanned at 600 DPI a lovely original Sega Lindbergh Universal Cabinet Japan manual. It does have differences to the upright Europe manual that's in the Wiki. I'm not familiar how to update the Wiki to add the manual, so if anyone else knows how to do it - feel free. Cheers.

Thanks for posting this
I find the Euro manual a bit odd as you can see the JPN version in some of the pics, lazy ****.

127MB is a bit massive, will need processing somewhat to go into the manual - not every page needs 600dpi (the schematics should be fine at 300, any text only 150 or lower)

Re: Sega Lindbergh Universal Cabinet Japan Manual
I just stood over my scanner and computer for a couple of hours so it is what it is. Considering it's taken 17 years to get this manual uploaded I went big on the scan resolution. If someone else has the time, skills and software to tweak it further for the OA Wiki then that is most welcome.

No criticism intended, its good work. Just needs someone to tackle downsizing it

Re: Sega Lindbergh Universal Cabinet Japan Manual
Thanks Cools. I just selected one setting in the scanner and then did one page after the other. It would have been really fiddly to alter the resolution for different pages. If I had to do it again I wouldn’t bother opening and closing the lid of the scanner and just hold the booklet in place and squash it down. Closing the lid inevitably moves the manual a bit. But it came up well enough. Now there’s just the issue of the Japanesecools wrote: May 13th, 2023, 12:38 pm No criticism intended, its good work. Just needs someone to tackle downsizing it![]()

Good work on getting it scanned.
I've not downloaded it yet but I imagine it will need splitting and then various pages/sections saving at a lower DPI before merging back together. It's not something I've done but If I can find some time I'll have a go at doing it.

Re: Sega Lindbergh Universal Cabinet Japan Manual
Ok, had a go at this.
Pages 52-53 (wiring diagram) extracted.
Rest of the PDF compressed.
Merged the high resolution wiring diagram back into the PDF.
Now coming in at ~17MB
The part numbers etc in the rest of the manual look legible. See what you think
