Audiophile quote of the day:
I will have a listen again closer to the end of this week as the power cord that’s connected to the DAC has been bent into a different shape to fit the IEC socket of the Luxman (the power cord requires about 5 days to sound optimal after they have been bent into a different shape

Update. The Luxman DA-06 will be staying in the main system. After 6 days, the finicky power cord that's connected to the DAC has settled down and music is now in its full glory.
Hurray!

Suddenly I want one of these, https://www.marantz.com/en-gb/product/cd-players/cd60 :D

Oddly enough the last new CD player I bought was a Marantz CD 63SE at the Bristol hifi show back in…. the 90’s.

What do you audiophiles think? I would use my Chord Hugo TT as a pre Amp into ATC SCM 50 speakers.

Can’t go far wrong with Marantz. Always a shame to bypass the DAC and use it as a transport though.

That’s why I was thinking of using the Chord as a preamp, pretty sure it has an analogue input.

Nope. You're going to need a preamp I'm afraid.

That looks very nice, I just remembered I have a Benchmark DAC in the cupboard that has a very nice analogue in apparently.

Or maybe I just should just get this, Roon ready which is how I listen to music and Dirac… :D

Audiophile quotes of the day:
Right,i have installed the switch and cat6 patch, and at the same time changed the mains block and banana plugs on my speaker cables.
First off,the sound was rubbish, brittle top end and muffled mids and bass, left it running for a while, and second album in,there's a significant drop in the noise floor,on my set-up the difference isn't subtle, and has improved dynamics, bass articulation and slam,as well as better instrument seperation, just over all more enjoyable to listen to.
So thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated.
And I will upgrade the wall wort with a L.P.S.U at a later date, and hope for more of the same.
I will of course update the post when I buy/get/install it.
Well I tried the 5 port zyxel against the zyxel gs-108b, I'd buy the 108b better sound stage bit more lively, the 105b sounds smaller.
