Awesome pictures, thanks for sharing these. I wish more of them would show up in the wild; I'm sure most were destroyed. Love the unique designs; so much charm in those early 80s cabs.

I say pay attention to the eastern europeans, central europeans and Turkey. Alot of these are popping up in these regions.

We stay at Tecmo / Tehkan with the system eight sold only by 8 as its name suggests for a circular configuration. This cabinet is a UFO!

I remember a few years ago there was a Tekhan lava cabinet for sale on Ebay in Europe, but I can't remember the country.

The Tehkan Lava with the feet looks like a cute small robot - I believe that I have seen a robot companion that looks like that on a cartoon/anime or so but I can't remember where.

Yep. Somehow missed that whole thread! I've been scanning/documenting stuff and adding it to the pile. (I've started keeping cad files for most reproducible metal bits)

Agreed. I really like it as well. I heard @battlesmurf had scanned it. Would be cool if the scan was posted somewhere

I just did a huge touch up, whitening, and re-coating job on it- then scanned it. Right now I've only shared that with Alberto/Yu Ting. Where's a good place to toss it up that more can get at it?

Apparently it was a Casio cabinet according to the seller on YAJ? Any idea what it was?

The CP is definitely not original considering what appears to be is age, as well as the generic pattern. Also the coin slot is obviously not the real one.
But this definitely WAS a proper machined cab.

No clue what it is, but I kinda like it! Downward firing speakers might be a little weird… if they’re turned right up in an arcade could cause vibration in the CP too?
Looks pretty slim, and are they castors on the front?
House friendly cab!
