Just save your bombs when fighting Jitterbug for the 2up. That way you'll go into Tyrannosatan with at least 6 bombs in stock + most likely a bit more. That should be enough to always finish him off no matter how much you suck :)

I lost one live with full bombs shortly before Jitterbug, otherwise it would be a clear.
What do you mean with the 2up? The second 1up from score? Got that way before Jitterbug...

Also any hints where to overdrive in the last level for higher score?

Don't bomb jitterbug at all and he drops a 2up

Do you have the xbox360 version? The replays on there (for all cave games) are a great source. You can find ones without death mode / ex too.

I've not checked steam, but I'm guessing it's the same?

Yes, it drops no matter how many lives you loose, providing you don't bomb.

I only use the xbox version to watch replays

I know, DDP lvl 5 frustrates me knowing there is a lvl 6. also the too much pressure no more fun syndrome kicked in so I need to change the game. So I will have a deeper look into Akai Katana and will got back to DFK after.

My score is 611,437,755 with Sakura, following this route: (without using EX stages or playing any at Lv999)
