I picked this up from @g60hot recently-ish and I had to get this turned around and working within a couple of weeks, I did thankfully but it's taken me much longer to bother to document it...

This was a pretty straight forward project but time consuming regardless, at first I crapped myself as switched off there's Mahjong burn with PLEASE INSERT COIN, I thought christ the monitor is shagged, nope, not visible in game and it produces a really nice picture

I actually spent quite a bit of time trying to find the right combination, the red it came with worked well but I was looking to put a flourish to it, I tried neon orange balltops but they clashed

After trying a few different combinations I settled on the parma violets look, as soon as I set it up like this I knew that's how it would be staying

I then pulled and gave the chassis a going over, there were a few issues with jailbars and image stability that were resolved by replacing the caps as per here, at least one was visibly shagged https://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Nanao_MS8-29

Thankfully as everything went well I met my deadline the night before required, I quickly tweaked the monitor to about 90% correct and rotated, I then used a red ashtray to cover the main scratch on the CP

And that was that, it got played on a lot the day after and held up very well, I don't intend to paint or touch it up, the used patina I'm fond of and it shows on all my cabs

Just little things need doing now, I've installed locks (15.875mm same as canary) But the control panel lock I've still not got quite right, it seems an absolute PITA to do.
The screen geometry needs adjusting to be near as possible to 100% correct.
