Folded and made an amazon.jp account. Got the base set and the spinner/ trackball controller. Just before committing to my order, I found out amazon.jp adapted that absolutely retared practice of charging you import sales tax like it's any of their business whether I pay it or not. That's a cool 40 Eurobucks out of nowhere... :problem:
Still bought it, of course.

Huh? I assumed it's because they've gotten tired of having packages sent back to them because customers were incapable of picking them up from the customs office in time... anyway, fuck them.

It's much easier this way. They usually ship by DHL. Takes about 3 days.

The German customs office close to my home will just pass along every second package. For the last big shipment of SNES games from Japan (worth about 100 bucks?) I didn't have to pay any import tax...

It's just a curved plastic cover on top of the LCD. It's not going to be a real curved screen.

There hasn't actually been any video of how the mini screen actually looks, has there? The video on the previous page shows a black screen.

I've tried to preorder the bundle with spinner controller:

¥27,248 for Taito Egret + spinner controller
¥21,379 for Shipping :-o
¥10,698 for Import fees deposit :wtf:

Total amount ¥59,325 = about 460 EURO

too much! Pass for now

Try ordering them separately, which is what I did. That way, they'll ask less than 50 bucks for shipping.

I've just cancelled my original full-pack pre-order and ordered another.

There are two on Amazon jp. One is cheaper than the other. The only difference I can find is in the title.

The pricier full-pack title finishes with 付 (attached). The other with 無 (nothing).

Can't find any more information. Apparently there's a Famitsu DX edition that comes with pins and a pin display stand...
