..or just keep it but remove the bug that rolls the score while doing it, pretty sure its an easy fix for a genius coder?

I cant believe the exa team make buisness moves based on troll-hacks ? Lol worthy gameplay does not sell units im pretty sure.

People casually playing these for score, are you guys for real?

They're keeping the humping. There's a button already that can be held down for single frame movements (at least that's how I think it works?).

I imagine people who love the original will at least want the option of having the "hump".

Weren't people paying more for the pink sweets infinite lives revision?

I mean, not really. The only PS releases that dont have infinite lives glitch is exceedingly rare.

Deathsmiles does appear to be on top of the list ( provided it comes with the toy skeleton ), of course exa-Arcadia staff are in the best position to do such research.

I also read that that Kankeo and Mitchell Corp IP is available, so could Cyvern or Osman be a possibility?
There are many possibilities.
However, there are a limited amount of games which can be released every year.

As seen with Gimmick!, SDOJ and to be seen with P-47 ACES and AK, these are not simple ports.
Going the extra mile to fix bugs, make the games better, add content are always things we look at.

The player can choose to play with the overflow bug fixed or not.

I think most people play these for survival (one credit clears). I don't know that many people that play them casually for high scores. If you are into playing for score, then you'll likely want to learn whatever hook that is needed to score big, be it chaining, point blanking, milking, whatever. In this case it's humping. If you prefer a different scoring gimmick, cool, it's not like there aren't enough shmups to suit whatever taste you have.

I like shmups where scoring and survival go mostly hand in hand. Never really enjoyed rank control or scoring bugs. Not sure what I'll make of humping then :hinthint: As I'll be playing in 4:3, I might pass on P47 for now, we'll see. Just as tempted by SBP Madelyn or Blazing Chrome for the CRT setup.

Definitely recommend SBP Madelyn. Though scoring is a bit wonky. Not super RNG heavy so makes it easier to clear once you put some time into the game, and progression and level variance keeps you engaged. Haven't played it on a CRT, but may need to test that out and see how if looks and feels.

I believe the question was asked a couple of years ago.

The problem is that Arika is known to be difficult to work with.

The follow-up to Tetris The Grand Master 3 was on location test in 2015 but since then... nothing.

It would be awesome if exA-Arcadia manages to get this game on exA. There's no puzzle game yet, and a brand new TGM would fill that gap nicely!

TGM-EXA i think would be the AAA title the exa needs to really cement itself as the new arcade-op go-to system :)

That's why the last one was called "The Grand Master" (without the "Tetris" branding).

Mr Driller Exa would definitely be fun, but as Sven said, TGM Exa would really cement a new arcade hardcore vibe to it.

I don't think that renaming it was enough. Tetris gameplay needs to bei licecenced.

Yes, but only if you're abiding to certain rules AFAIK. I think that it's possible to avoid it by not using or altering some key elements.

A new Mr. Driller would be wonderful (with 2-player support like 2 and G, not 1-player like the first one).
