I love Banshee. The sex and violence is probably there for the same reason there's sex and violence in True Blood (both produced by Alan Ball). Or that it's on Cinemax. If you want some more sexy action, I can recommend Strike Back, which is also plenty entertaining.

MORTAL KOMBAT CONQUEST

This show is amazing! Great music, sexy costumes, impressive fight choreography, the script is 'so bad it's good'.
It reminds me of Xena (which I never liked), I can't believe this got canned after 1 season, one of the great travesties of the human race. :-x ..or maybe that's a good thing. Either way, this is way better than the new movie, which was still worth a watch.

Not watching trailer but they continuing the series or giving it a revamp? It went **** after #3 when it went it's own route rather than following the books.

I didn't know the books ran out after two seasons. That explains a lot.

I should have a fond memory of Dexter's first seasons but after it got dragged through so many more all I can remember is Dexter's endless internal sulking about being so emotionless.

I thought this was about the Alan Partridge show directly above your post, which surprised me. Then I saw the MK header.

Mare Of Easttown.

Absolutely fantastic. Shows like this are why HBO are a cut above.

Thanks for the suggestion!
I checked it out, enjoyed the first couple episodes. Slow burn crime dramas can be great, as long as the characters are compelling, which I found very much the case here. Tip top acting, even the minor characters. Looking forward to binging the rest in the next few days.
