Cheers Wurstkopp. Looks good with your MT8 panels right now. Will hopefully look even better when it’s finished.

Cheers @emphatic!
Got some time to do the surround and the centre panel this afternoon. Very very pleased with how it has turned out. Colour match is pretty great!
Masking off: Coat 1:
Looking good if I do say so myself:
(Excuse the masking to the front of the CP)

Colour match with the side art (side art left as original)
Edit: unmasked. Need to put the speakers and bezel back in. And screw the surround to the frame.

Re: Canary. Ding Ding!!
Ah cheers! To be honest I’ve just done the bits that have been quick and easy. I need to respray the body but I’m probably not going to get round to it this year.
Got some locks to fit and wood to replace then I think I’m kind of done for a while.

Re: Canary. Ding Ding!!
This is the code from my can. If you have any car body shops near you though, just take your panel down and get them to colour match it.
Alternatively, this place may send stuff out. URL on the photo.

Re: Canary. Ding Ding!!
My favorite color of blue, looks ace, probably better than it looked new. Matching paint is a nightmare, even using custom mixing/digital matching it just isn't 100% in my experience, I usually either get close enough or just re-do everything.

Yeah I just colour matched as close as I could and then sprayed the whole lot with the shade I colour matched with so it all looked uniform.

Re: Canary. Ding Ding!!
Very mild update time.
My cab came with an SNK panel that kind of didn’t match the cab at all. See below.
But, I fancied having a dedicated Neo panel so got muddymusic on the case to do me a repro overlay that was more in line with the OG Canary colourway.
Personally I think it has come out pretty sweet! (Cue it appearing in Kernow disapproves of your control panel...)
I need to get a loom for the lcd coin counter and I’m waiting on some fresh stick shafts.
Edit: @ChrisBEANS, what was the site you mentioned that sells various looms for the MVS again?
Edit2: never mind, found it: http://www.neogeoledmarquee.info/produc ... ata-cable/
Before anyone wants to spit on me for not keeping everything OG, I’m waiting on a repro stick mount for the Zak and Wurstkop repro panels. So there!!!

How is the project going?.
Project is kind of on pause at the min due to being a parent to a one year old and also getting an extension done on the house.
Hopefully will get round to a respray of the body in the next couple of years.
@Neo Gold, you mentioned that you’d done some panel beating on your Pony. I’m kinda thinking that the knackered edge of my Canary is probably impossible to repair fully without some filling of the remaining slight dents, unless you have any advice.
It’s in a far better place now than when I got it but I’m worried about going too far the other way and ending up going backwards.

Re: Canary. Ding Ding!!
Nice one...family first matey!, an extension for more candy cabs!?..
Well looking at your photo's..you have most of the dents out anyway...i'm sure the front is not bolted on is it?..spot welded?...would make it easier that way to get in the rear of it...with a dolly etc.
You are going the right way checking it with the straight edge.
Its a tight bend with restricted access..so it looks from my end pretty close now, i would just use body filler & take your time...you won't be able to tell once its sanded & shaped.
Too far the other way?...your not going backwards!, you will just have to dismantle the cab again to sort the metal body.
Nothing is impossible!...there's a ton of filler in most new cars!
You are looking for just a light skim only.

Re: Canary. Ding Ding!!
Lush, thanks. That’s encouraging. Do you have a recommended filler?
I mean… the extension isnt directly for cabs no, but it frees up a room to become a “family” room.
Edit, I totally forgot that I do have a replacement tube inbound from Rklok via YHJ (and @zak). It’s a total gamble as it is scratched BUT looks burn free. Hence being very interested in your (amazing!) work in your Pony’s tube scratches.
Also, @alberto1225 is repro-ing the original panel and joy mount for me, looking forward to that too.
