Aww okay, good to know, thanks guys. There are some clear signs but I thought maybe there was a chance it was a model for an unfamiliar game. Without knowing all the differences between Vewlix releases, thought it was worth a shot to ask.

i've been tracking this game for years and I've seen the price increase every time it comes up. I've seen a naked C&D board (not even guaranteed working according google translate) sell for maybe $800 on yahoo auctions. The last sale i saw here (granted, it was in a case) was $1k.

Have prices come down a bit, or is there some new bootleg mechanism method i'm not aware of?

The sellers other items include a mix of bootlegs and original pcb's so ... i dunno.

I understand the monetary motivation but this hobby is so wildly niche... I don't understand the need to deceive such a tiny market.
