I bought it on Bluray recently. Look forward to the re-watch.SuperPang wrote: December 9th, 2020, 12:39 pm I finished rewatching Battlestar Galactica last night. 10 years was long enough for me to forget key parts of the story and thoroughly enjoy it all over again. The greatest Sci-Fi show ever made.
Anyone seen Hunters on Amazon? It's about Nazis hiding in the US in the 1970's and this colorful group of people hunting them. It's very comic bookesque, maybe it's based on a graphic novel? Al Pacino is one of the leads.

Very lacklustre second season of The Mandalorian capped off by a fantastic last episode.

Do you (and geotrig) like neo-noir? If so stick with it.
Many shows take almost a full season to get going and end up being amazing. Breaking bad doesn’t get going until Heisenberg appears. Bleach (anime) is crap until the end of season 1 into season 2.
I dare say Better Call Saul slowly burns until the later seasons.
The Expanse is good because if it takes place in real world or current settings it still works. If it was set in WW2 it still works. It’s an espionage thriller, I can’t really say it’s the best ever as there isn’t anything like it. Can’t fault it though... 10/10
Loving robots since the 80's.

Re: Obsessive TV Watching =)
Have to admit, I was hooked after the second episode. Realistic, gritty scifi with interesting characters and fairly correct phyics, and a healthy dose of politics? I mean I like pulp scifi trash as much as the next guy, but good hard scifi is a rare thing... (I'll take this opportunity and recommend Planetes for those of you who don't mind reading comics/ manga. Takes place in the near future when there's so much trash in orbit around the earth that soembody has to collect it.)

Re: Obsessive TV Watching =)
I gave episode 3 a watch and have officially given up. Sorry. Not for me. Seems like a lot of waffly dialogue from uninteresting characters against an expensive backdrop. Proper snoozefest. The show has this odd cold colour temperature to it as well which is quite unattractive.

I’m really enjoying Wandavision. Kevin Feige and the Disney+ budget have really upped the quality over the previous crappy Marvel TV stuff. Elizabeth Olsen looking mighty fine too.

Dark was indeed awesome. Only other series in that tier I've seen in the last several years was MANIAC, DEVS, and possibly Ozark. Raised by Wolves I'll probably have to rewatch to come to a real verdict on..

Re: Obsessive TV Watching =)
I binged all 4 seasons of Banshee over the last couple weeks. Above average, lots of sex and violence if you are into that sort of thing. It's acted well enough but relies more on ruthless bloodshed.
I think if the cast was a bit smaller they could have improved the series by spending more time on more meaningful character development, background storytelling, etc. They attempt it with a few characters but it's sparse at best.
