Re: Anyone recognize the model from this unreleased shmup?
Too early by about four years. My guess would be they wouldn't be working on a port. Maybe a sequel though

Thexder. It was identified. Apparently a japanese dev was working on a sequel in the 90's

Bypassing security and booting all five games on the Konami M2 platform
Just a quick video I made since M2 seems to be selling more and more on eBay and I've gotten some emails and comments asking for help. Might not be useful to everyone but if you own Konami M2 stuff it should be very useful lol
Tobe! Polystars goes for over a grand now, but you can just pick up a cheaper pcb and convert the ISO files to run when they weren't intended to

Got a text guide that can be embedded here, rather than hoping the youtube hotlink will remain active?

CHD to GDI - video tutorial
I’d had a number of requests for a GDI version after showing a bin/cue version on my channel, so I made this. Hopefully it helps someone, even if text tutorials already exist

Hope everyone got what they wanted for Xmas!

How to build a ground chain from scratch
When I did a series on building my own fight stick for my supergun, one of the common questions I got was building a ground chain (as I didn’t show the assembly process in the video)
So I made this to help anyone who may need it. A simpler tutorial for sure but considering a ground chain is essential I hope it helps some people

Who remembers Thexder?
Recently I worked on getting a transforming “robot ship” demo working on the 3DO M2, and all I knew was that it was from a Japanese developer making a shmup.
Turns out it was Thexder. Updated the video with side by sides, etc etc in the hopes someone would know more about it, as I don’t know who was developing the game.
Anyone remember any Thexder chatter / rumors in the mid to late 90’s? Want to try to connect to the people who made it and potentially see what, if anything, survived, but I can’t find any references searching online.
At least the first part of the mystery was solved ; Thexder. I’ve never played any of the entries in the series so I’m glad someone recognized what it was, as I had less than zero idea

Alligator clips and how to use them to prototype / repair your setups
Maybe a simple concept a bunch of people already know, but I’d had a good amount of questions and comments on my use of them in previous videos so I figured I’d make it.
If you have a button that is exhibiting some issues, it’s a super quick and reversible way to test for continuity. Or if you are prototyping a new setup and you want to check everything before you cut your wire runs...also saves you some time and effort

How to convert your Hyper Neo Geo 64 games to work at home - finally done!
If anyone else ever tries this and needs help / info, please let me know!
It’s a headache of a project due to the fact SNK left info off their schematic, so if you don’t have their own wiring harness, you have zero idea where anything hooks up! But I made my own schematic and then had a harness sent in from Germany to fix my issues, and I now have a working control setup to play Round Trip RV and Offbeat Racer at home on my supergun.

The A button on my AES stick was dying so I made this
Hopefully nobody hates the violet color scheme too much lol. Finally I can get back to playing MotW. Don’t know why the A button gave up, as it was fine last time I used the stick (and I did clean it with compressed air / isopropyl to try to bring it back to life)

Brilliant thanks!
I just had a similar saga getting a wheel on a naomi.
