Septentrion / SOS - one of the weirder games on SNES

Post by Awbacon »

Anyone ever get the chance to play this lately or even back in the day? Human Entertainment made such "different" games compared to everyone else it seemed. It's like a ship wreck simulator / adventure platform game with some awesome music and graphics. It can be annoyingly hard at times but I do love playing it. Same with the original Clock Tower (also made by Human0

They made some funky games for sure. Even Suda51 got to make one of their Fire Pro Wrestling games for them, and that had a suicide storyline!

Bypassing Konami M2 Security checks - Part 2

Post by Awbacon »

Finally got this board running code! Still a ways off from done as only two of the five total games will boot. I had to do some chip swapping to get this to happen, as well as some hex editing of the game code itself

Part 3 will have some work on the custom bios files I am writing for M2, specifically to bypass secondary security checks.

Feedback welcome. Lmk what you think about the project and my ideas on how to make it work. It’s been a real pain in the **** lol

D - if you haven't played this, Halloween is coming and you owe it to yourself! Part 2!

Post by Awbacon »

The weirdest game ever...it was hugely successful and well reviewed when it came out but for some reason today D gets made fun of? Sure its full of 90's bad voice acting but D seems like the precursor to so many more modern horror games we got, its definitely something that needs to be checked out. If you get a japanese copy of any of the platforms it released on (Saturn/PS1/3DO) its less than ten dollars!

Anyone else play this already? I never find many people who've experienced the game, let alone heard about it. Seems sad. D2 on the Dreamcast got way more hype and press than this ever did

Looks like this game was based on the movie The Poseidon Adventure.

Back in the 90ies, I wanted a horror game and chose Phantasmagoria over this. I bought it later on Sega Saturn (EU). It is an interesting game.

Two more play through of Alex and Pastel. Both hidden character in the game and I don’t believe their gameplay has ever been seen online. That’s how obscure and rare Battle Tryst is

Pastel

and ALex

Part 2!

Pt 2 and the end of season 4. I left the ending out because why spoil such a weird and out there ending? But if you haven’t played the game yet you 100% absolutely should.

N64 region free modding the humane way :)

Post by Awbacon »

Don’t “cut” your 64! Lol

But for real I don’t know why but I’ve seen a bunch of mentions lately online in tutorials where they tell people to cut plastic out of their cart slot. It’s super easy to accomplish region free play without mangling the plastic. It’s a super simple video but I wanted to make it to see how it did / tell people to put the damn scissors and dremels down!

Feedback very welcome on this vid!

Yeah, I just buy a bunch of US carts, swap the back covers and then toss the carts in the bin.

Oh wait.

Why not just cut the plastic? It's a N64, it's not exactly a grail.
