Go up one pin. You have it plugged into A21 but it should be B21. The B row is the top row.

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)
Hey everyone! Newb to the board here...
Just getting around to installing one of these kits and I'm having what I would consider a "tech support" issue.
Once I've flashed a game to the board (SSF2TU for instance) the only way I can get it to reboot into the game after a power cycle is to pull the SD card out and leave it out.
Yes I do have the wire soldered from SWD5 to B28 on CN1. I'm also using an F Pal with pin 7 pulled out of the socket and wired to CN3 pin A13.
Any ideas?
Thanks all!

Your sd card is bad or incompatible. Try another card.
What brand are you using now?

The LCD lights on but only displays boxes instead of text. I tried reformatting the cards.
The buttons on the Lcd dont work either.
Just to clarify the setup was working perfectly. I installed a right angle header to fit into custom case. Could that be the issue?

Sounds like it.FingerCramp wrote: I installed a right angle header to fit into custom case. Could that be the issue?
I got the same behavior before when plugging in the LCD after the system was already powered up.
If I was to guess, one or more data connections are bad. Check your soldering with a multimeter to pin it down.

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)
I hope I don't catch any crap resurrecting this thread, but I'm not finding the answers I need. So I got my Darksoft kit and it's installed on a revision 7 board with a G PAL. I'm using a 4GB card with Avalaunch files. Here are the problems I am having:
1. The Avalaunch files didn't have the D&D games, but the Smokemonster did. I tried the Smokemonster games and they show loading on the LCD but all I get is a blank screen after loading. The new game shows on the LCD screen, but no-go for the game on the monitor. I format my card each time as well. The Avalaunch games work fine.
2. Not sure why auto reset is not working correctly. Using the Avaluanch games, I load a new game and after finishing booting up, I get garbage (froze as well) on the monitor. I have to turn the power off and then back on for the new game to boot correctly. From the reading I have done, the revision 7 boards don't need anything for the newer kits to have the auto reset work. What am I reading or doing wrong?

Yep, you'll be able to get the info required over at AP.
Sounds like you've got a working setup, you just need some wires installed in order to get the new pack of games to work.

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)
I need someone who can take a look at my Darksoft Kit. I was getting bad sound coming out and tried reseating the main board from the kit. Plugged it back in and now there is no picture. Pulled it off and noticed some of the long pins are now broken. I tried solder tips on, but still no good. Anyone willing to take a look at it (for a fee of course)? I can ship the whole A & B boards or just the B. Thanks
Also, noticed this thread has been inactive since April 19, so if there is a better thread to post please let me know.

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)
Hi,
I've got a recent issue to launch some games in my Daksoft Multi CPs2 V2 ( the one with the 4 wires to solder - to reboot without restarting the cab - i've didn't solder the 4 wires yet).
All was ok (and so nice...) but now I can launch only the SF2 titles...
For tthe others games the Darksoft said that the launching is correct but when i restart the game are like when you boot a game before restart (some glitch and dual layering of the past game and and the new game).
Did someone have this issue before ?
It seems that the SF2 core stay on the Roms...
I'm using the CPs2 decrypted set.
Thanks

Memory card corruption? Try a different card.
