I was going through my PCB's for another long-time-no-play and decided on NBBM from Irem.
But I was wondering if this board is a boot or real Irem. The PCB color looks off and there is no Irem seal

Searching for PCB pics online, I see similar, but still doesn't tell me if it is genuine or not. Does anybody know?

What makes it so typical Korean produced?

It's missing the made in Japan silk screen and has Korean text on the paper label. It's also missing the JAMMA key.

It may be legit, but this one also missing the Made in Japan silk but is keyed.

Originals or bootlegs?

The left one has all the Date East labels GG 00-07, GE 08-11. I checked but the Caveman Ninja pcb is missing the MAD-09 to MAD-12 chips. Robocop 2 has a different layout on these.

Looks like an Korean produced Original IREM pcb to me.

Sorry I'm replying late to this one. This is a full, 100% boot, FROM Korea.

The ones people claim are IREM Korea licensed ones, they have a notched JAMMA edge, the have the Irem metal sticker indicating the game, and they have a more accurate M92 board layout with "made in Japan" printed on it.

This picture above is a boot for sure. There is an argument whether the "Korean" ones I described are actually licenses, as none of them ever have a serial number on them. I think they are just conversions from another game personally. I don't know how they got the metal sticker, maybe they made it?

No, they don't all have a notch in the JAMMA edge, note also they're covered with original Nanao parts and correct mask ROMs for the graphics. They're certainly worth less than the Japanese ones and are more cheaply made though.

Any input on this one? I'd say the Eeproms and stickers are fake. Never seen that kind of sticker on a Capcom board. Plus they are so white after almost 30 years my eyes are bleeding
