I thought Easter would have been the last clearance due to the 2018 sets, but what do I know.

I spoke to sum yung gai in Currys and he basically said what you said i.e. the new models will be out shortly in May/June and he expects the C7 etc to drop then. Not sure what this random spike is about though. I just hope they don't 'drop' back down to £1499 :problem:

Is there any chance they’ll ever manufacture 60” OLED panels? I can’t handle 65” :fastlove:

I’ve seen a handful of people asking for 49” and 50” Oleds too.

The rollable LG might be ideal for you :D

I wish I had ripped the fireplace / fire out when I moved into this house. I still might further down the line. I could get a 77” on that wall

I don't think John Lewis will online price match a product that isn't on a competitors website but I've submitted a price match request against the physical shop in London, can't hurt to try I guess. Especially as both the C7 and B7 are both £1799 most places now :lolno:

Well worth a price match imo. I like the E and you need a sound bar or amp for the latest LG oleds. The sound is absolute garbage. With the E it’s not an issue 8-)

Thank you for your price match request for the LG OLED55E7N OLED HDR 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, 55" with Freeview Play, Picture-On-Glass Design & Dolby Atmos Sound Bar Stand, Silver.

Regrettably I have been unable to locate this exact model of television on the Selfridges website. For us to agree to a price match, the products must be identical so on this occasion I am unable to agree to your request.

If you can respond to this email with a direct link to the product page I will happily take another look at your request.
Well **** you then John Lewis :awe:

Back to waiting again I guess. I'll be happy with a C7 if I can get one at ~£1.5k, hopefully they'll at least come back down to that price again :pubjoe_oldpalmsmiley: I'm not a big fan of the sound bars/virtual surround I've heard. I've got a fairly decent wired 5.1 which I'm happy with so I'm good on that front.

It's currently ~£1499 at the moment. I don't use that TV all that much and so I don't want to spend an absolute fortune, £1.5k is at the upper end of what I'm looking to pay and needs to be 55". Will be used for TV, Switch and the odd movie.

Thanks man, well spotted :awe:

Gave Richer Sounds a call but they don't have any C's in at the moment. They said they do get them in but LG have an agreement with other retailers (Currys etc) to stock them first and then Richer get any left over stock. They said they do have an order in for some C's from LG but the system doesn't say when they'll be in, probably due to the reason above.

£1400 is a great price for the B but I would prefer the C and I would kick myself if I bought a B now and then saw the C for a similar price in a couple of weeks. I'm not in a rush though so I think I'll hold tight for now. Really appreciate the heads up though.

Going to call Richer Sounds again later to see if they have any C's in stock now.

I imagine stock will start to dry up soon. £1350 with a 6yr warranty is pretty good. Curry’s though :problem: just make it £1350

Can you even switch to 4:3 on these oled screens?
And when you do get it in 4:3, will it be possible to have black side borders?
Seem like most if not all Pioneer plasmas cannot do black side borders.

Yes and you can with mine.

With the krp500 it’s an option to have grey side bars, i believe it’s to stop the phosphor wearing out in the middle and not the sides

If you’re using 4:3 for games on a flat panel, it’s much better to use an OSSC or similar, which gives you all the customisation you need
