Isao Takahata is a great loss....One of my first memories of a cartoon on TV is Heidi. Moreover, I enjoyed his weird Ghibli movies: Pom Poko, My neighbours the Yamadas and Only Yesterday. I saw the making of Only Yesterday and Princess Kaguya and was amazed by how much care he put in every aspect of his films.

Heidi is his masterpiece in my opinion. Marco is another amazing show he directed.
