Looks great. Awesome little project.
Wanted: SNK Candy 18 spares. Mainly looking for a marquee holder & the "video games" sign.

Just simply amazing,
That arduino stuff was very tricky.
Goes to show you we can all keep these cabs going forever

That would look cool. I'll do the card exit plate at the same time I think.mufunyo wrote:I know it originally came with the cab like that, but it'd really finish it off to spray the coin module white as well.

Re: MVS-U4-DK (Dino King Conversion)
Postimg seem to have messed up all the images in the thread
. I'll see if I can fix them shortly.
Thought I'd post that I'm having a crack at reducing the MVS U-4 down to tabletop size... really small - like the old Grandstand tabletops...
Not done much so far, other than prove to myself it's possible to emulate 4 slot and pass the marquee and credit information from a Pi to arduino nano:
It'll be very small. 10mm buttons. 3.5" screen (masked to 4:3). I'll post a piccy when i'm done (if it gets done).

Ah very cool. I guess you've seen the SNK classic reply image I posted elsewhere then?
I was pondering making one from an old netbook, so 9" or 10" screen:

Re: MVS-U4-DK (Dino King Conversion)
Got the credits working, and a nice sloped aluminium enclosure (to paint gloss white) + control panel box... I wonder if I can get a mini SC-19 built (with working credits and marquee) before Neo Geo do... and I wonder if I could do a better job
. I think I'll have a crack at it.

Re: MVS-U4-DK (Dino King Conversion)
Looks good! I fancy making my own also. I have the innards of an old Netbook to do it, so just a case of working out how to do the mini marquee stuff and fashioning a suitable mini-cab case for the project

Hey Zipper, I've just bought a Dino King I'm gonna convert and found this post - it's absolutely amazing!
How did you create the control panel and where did you source the parts? Were they people on this forum you mentioned?

You can get custom control panels made by VirtVic. Contact him either on the UKVAC forum, or via http://tenpencearcade.co.uk/ (say Flinnster sent ya)

It's so beautiful!
Recently I bought MVS-U4, and I am trying to play emulators on it.
Hope I can learn to rebuild a 7 segment display for credit emulation.

Re: MVS-U4-DK (Dino King Conversion)
I've seen some great dino kings conversions but this is the best yet. I doubt it gets better than this. I actually wouldn't mind owning this one.
