Re: Introduce yourself here!
Yo guys, what's up?
I was doing some arcade research and "cherry-picking" information on this website/forum and decided to register, as the content on this website/forum seems to have a lot of information that I haven't seen on any other arcade related website/forum. I thought I would introduce myself....
My name is Steve and I live in Toronto, Canada. I have been collecting arcade machines since 2012 and have built up a decent and growing collection of arcade games and soon to be pinball machines.
I have been doing reviews about my arcade games and other related arcade stuff, most recently, my Vewlix L with Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition running an original Taito X2 Arcade cabinet!
I have new videos released weekly, which may interest you. All my videos are on playlists, if you wanted to catch up on past videos. I still have a lot to learn and have made mistakes in the past, but have learned quickly.
If you would like to check out my youtube channel and see my collection,
you can visit me @ youtube.com/TopTierArcade
Please feel free to comment, give me feedback and if there is anything I can help you with, please feel free to ask and I will try my best to help you out.
I'm proud to be a part of the site.
All the best,
Steve

Re: Introduce yourself here!
I will introduce myself to you.
My name is Jeroen I'm 31 years old, have a wonderful wife and two children and live in Friesland (Holland)! Besides my family, I've been several years in Graphic Design. I've been playing since I was 3 years old games, if I have to believe my parents lol .My first words was not Mom or Dad but Nintendo ....!
Arcades and arcade pick have always fascinated me! Now I want to build one like itself and then expand to a real arcade room. Why, I myself first want to build an arcade cabinet because I really from A / Z wants to understand how it works. Ultimately, I want the real stuff! That's why I had the need for a forum where help, tips, inspirations and discussions comes forward and which I have found!
In addition to the arcade, I also mega many consoles and handhelds in my possession. Atari t / m Playstation 4.

Hey guys, Joe here. I live a little North of San Diego county and I'm looking to buy my first candy cab. I owned an American "woody" cabinet a few years back and miss having the arcade experience at home. Look forward to becoming part of the club!

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hello from London and Coventry chaps
I lurked this forum for a while before I realised there are some bloody knowledgeable people here and signed up!
Please bear with me and my possibly silly questions. I'm 36 therefore a relatively old school arcade, amiga, PC and console fan. Earliest gaming memories are my dad playing Jaws on his Commodore Vic 20. Favourite arcade memories are Final Fight before the Street Fighter 2 explosion.
I'm looking to build a multi format (xbox, RPI etc) control panel using real arcade parts although currently torn between using Eurosticks for really old school games and sanwa/Seimitsu for more recent beat em ups. Maybe I'll need to build several
Cheers!

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hi I'm Rich. Just starting out with a supergun (Mak Strike V3) and am enjoying some of my favourite arcade PCBS from the past. Will probably need some help because not all my pcbs are working yet. One day I hope to buy a standup Outrun machine. That will be a great day
Looking forward to talking with people here!

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hi everyone,
Also starting out :)
I've been mostly into 8/16 bits JRPG and shmups/STG in the past years. More of a player than a collector, and have always been fascinated with arcade games. I'm from a generation where as teenagers I would spend a significant amount of time hanging out at arcade centres with friends, spending pocket money on Double Dragon, Shinobi, Raiden, Final Fight, SFII, OutRun, Out Zone, etc, so basically titles from the late 80s, early 90s.
Even though getting an arcade at home is a bit out of reach at the moment, both financially and space-wise, I bought a supergun last year (MAK Strike), and was planning to get a very few PCB of titles I'd like to invest time in, nothing fancy, probably will limit myself to less than 200€ shmups/STG. I have experience in console game repros, so eventually I think I'll give a try at making some conversions.
So that's it, still very much learning about the arcade community, the sofwtare, the hardware, and the culture around it :)

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hi everybody
I'm Pascal , a 25 year game addict. Collecting old and new, but still a newbie with arcade
collecting. Bought a cheap woodie last year with a neo geo single slot in it, got to practice with
wiring, a tube that broke (replaced with a 4:3 lcd with scan line generator), and placing the D button for the neo geo. Now I'm finally picking up the big stuff(sega blast city). My neo geo Mvs collection counts 13 games so I got a long way to go.
