Christmas Doctor Who - Hmm it had some good moments and was good to to see River, but didn't really do it for me. Not very festive and the head swapping robot story wasn't great. :problem:

Black Mirror - White Christmas
Another exceptional episode, simply one of the best shows, a modern twilight zone.

Jessica Jones
Mostly crap, although Killgrave's character was at times entertainingly twisted.

Making a Murderer
Hard to watch and flat out aggravating, but addictive and thoroughly bingeworthy.

Natures Greatest Events
I'm BIG on nature shows, this was one of the best I've seen.

Life Stories
Another pretty excellent nature doc.

Making a Murderer.. Way too binge worthy... I'm shattered and had to watch it all asap.
Heart breaking stuff... I really don't know what to make of it? I mean if it was a movie then it would have been easier to accept... If it was a movie, then it would not even have got made because on paper the whole story is preposterous. If the bias and angle of this documentary is true, then we are entering territory that can only come from fiction. But this actually happened! It's utterly unbelievable how the state and lawmen were never punished regarding their lying, law and rule breaking!! Now I'm not saying Steven Avery is innocent, I simply don't know... and it's just too strange. Brendan though... The video and phone recordings point to him being coerced 100%.. Lack of material evidence also backs him up.. Hell!! Lack of material evidence and how strange the "setup" was should also help Avery.. But hasn't in both cases... If I was a juror in the Avery case... I would have put myself on the unsure side, as both the crooked lawmen and Avery could have been guilty.. The way this doc is directed, it does make me feel that Avery isn't guilty... but like (the unsavoury) Kratz states... then we have to make the assumption of the unthinkable. It's simply too strange for me to side either way... On Brendan's case I would have said "not guilty".
My god...so much happened in MAM that it's unbelievable, eye opening, shocking and confusing. Right or wrong... MAM does show us that if the law wants you to go down, then you are going down, no matter the tactics or evidence. This is why MAM is best thing I've seen of this sort, ever. Could even be one of the best series I've seen as well.
You guys need to binge the hell outta this.

^ I watched it too, in 3 binge-tastic sittings. Certainly screwed up stuff.
I read some followup reviews online and apparently the series omits some VERY SIGNIFICANT pieces of evidence that WERE included in the trial, such as proof that Avery purchased the rope and handcuffs he allegedly used, phone records that explain a bit more of the missing messaged on Theresa's phone, and a few other things. Now that's not to say the police look particularly innocent to having made Avery the fall guy, but still, I'm unsettled if the film makers intentionally left out some evidence in the making of the documentary that would go against their possible motive to make the viewer sympathize with camp Avery.

I only started Making a Murderer last night.

I think if it was on the Discovery channel not as many people would watch it. If that fair to say?

Finished watching Manhattan season 2 over Xmas as well. Love the A-bomb history.

Neither have I. From what I gather though... People that have read the book, a lot don't like it... One major gripe is that the stars are too good looking. I don't mind that at all! :awe:
