Ketsui & DOJ conversions are for the PGM, not the PGM2 ;)

Ha, right! I always mix them up, but you're right. It's PGM, not PGM2.

Good catch! :D

Warning: Thread Hijack.

I took my Joerg made Ikaruga cart apart. It works brilliantly, tbf.

Inside. Warning hot spunk (tm)

Thing is, it's quite messy and a bit sad that another cart had to die...

BUT, it's actually brilliant too - no grindy whizzy GD-Rom loading rubbish, it's faster, quieter and all round better. It's kinda no worse than net-booting from a piracy standpoint.

Finally, mine was cheaper than the GD-Rom too. Go figure.

I don't necessarily condone it - but from a tech perspective, it's at least interesting...

Holy ****, wow. I think I may open up my cart and take photos when I get home. That's not as bad as Drakon, but, it's still pretty awful. :awe:

I can highly recommend Oriental Legend 2, KOV 3 & 2 (in that order), I've still not played any of the others titles on original hardware.
Well Paulie, not one of those, but i can tell you this one is the Bee's knees

Nice score, it's a title that I've been really keen to pick up for a while now.

I've been playing a bit of KOV Seven Spirit recently. Another fun and fairly overlooked game which was only released in the arcades on Atomiswave hardware.

I have a CPGM with four player installed. A friend of mine made it for me. It's like a CMVS system. Very cool to have.

I only have 4 games though:

The Killing Blade Plus (real not bootleg)
The Gladiator
Martial Masters
Oriental legend

I need to buy some new PGM games soon. I'm looking for Bee Storm and maybe a few from the Knights of Valour series and Spectral Vs Generation, maybe I'll buy this on PCB instead. Demon Front also cool!

Looking for a consolized PGM system for my movie room. New to the boards so I'm limited in who I can contact. Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

No idea who does consolized PGMs, what about a mobo and running it through a control box. It would be a far more versatile option.

Newbie on this site.

I own PGM1 and I have been thinking of picking up PGM2. However, there are only 7 games available for it. The only games that I am interested are Knights of Valour 2 New Legend, Knights of Valour 3, and Oriental Legend 2. How do these games play comparing to their PGM1 counterparts?

What are the differences between Knights of Valour 2 Nine Dragons (PGM1) and Knights of Valour 2 New Legend (PGM2)?

Thanks

Since the PGM mobo that came with my DDP2 kit from Yaton in the end did have an ugly battery leak I decided to buy a spare. To my surprise this one looked different and was equipped with a battery cell holder from the factory. I haven't seen this one before. Does anyone know if there's more revisions out there of the PGM mobo? And if there's any major differences?

Sadly the manufacturing date sticker is gone on it and I can't make out the other one, but I guess it's only a sticker for when the board's been checked. There's another one below it but I'm not sure I can get them apart.

I have 2 PGM1 mobos, You can see the tracks on the underside are a slightly different layout, but have never compared them both with the plastic removed. Ill have a look and compare them to your pictures

Hiya,

Can a kind soul please tell me what capacitor I need to replace the one missing by the edge connector?

Hopefully I've attached 3 images ok!

Cheers,
