I have a few days off in my job so I thought I could move the Status 25 from the warehouse to my flat, I cleaned it a little bit but this pos is still in pretty rough shape, although monitor is NOS, and all of the internals have been serviced, still need to change the panel and buttons back to stock ,especially those crappy Crown Start buttons, it was the only 24mm button I had laying around so I used that.

Are you sure its the speakers and not the monitor? You can deplug the speaker cables to differentiate between the two sources.

I have the same cab and sometimes i can hear the same "sound". In my case this sound comes from CRT... but only the first minutes.
