Lazaretto Ultra LP: Nice gimmicks but the zero-compression analogue transfer don't sound great. And I'm being polite.

Had an LP delivered today that I ordered 2 days ago from petsoundrecords in Sweden :wtf:

I've placed half a dozen orders on Discogs now and service has generally been excellent. A few too many silly prices though, as with ebay.

I love the album so was really looking forward to it. Took it off after one side it sounds so bad.

I almost always buy in bulk when I shop from Discogs' sellers. My best tip about the Discogs marketplace is making a want list. When you wanna buy something, click on it and you'll automatically see which sellers have more items from your want list. Mine is 25 pages long... :shifty:

You can even add more than one pressing of each specific album or single.

Yeah, the want list is very handy. I'm trying to pace myself at the moment by only picking up a few of my favourite albums or albums with **** CDs. Problem is I like a lot of early 70's rock which is bloody pricy in NM condition.

Here's my current turntable setup-on-a-budget :awe: :

U-turn Orbit Plus turntable
Audioengine A5+ speakers
Cambridge Audio 640p Phono Preamp (with AK's HypnoToad Mods)
Really happy with the look and sound :D
Speakers are still breaking in, but sounding better with every spin.

Also, finally set up a Discogs account: EllertMichael

Sexy Goblin EP. I removed the img tags, as I don't like surfing in molasses.

This Kevin Gray/Steve Hoffman remaster of Rumours is the most impressive thing I've spun so far. The 45 RPM version is supposedly even better.

Stevie Nicks before plastic :awe: I'd rather have Buckingham not on this cover :problem:

Do you use a record mat
You could experiment with a felt mat - shouldn't cost you more than 5£ or try to get a good deal on a Funk Firm Achromat.

650 lids for a Reginald Dwight album? They must see you lot coming. Bloody hell... :wtf:
