Wallbreaker queueing is an excellent way to hide resources from raiders at low levels as long as you remember to cancel them before a raid ;)

It becomes less effective by the late-mid levels when your loot cap is 1,500,000 elixir and above as all it will save you is about 20k worth.

How about this?

Options are quite limited for war bases at TH4 so I wouldn't fret too much, just get to 5 as soon as you can ;)

This is Harry's TH4 from last week, builder's hut in top corner out of shot. I built it in the bottom corner because it's a real pain in the **** deploying troops there with the hotbar hiding the spot you most want to deploy, and that's the only sensible place to put them here or the Lv4 Wizard that's hiding in the CC will murder you. Gotta use every trick yo ;)

I'm not sure I have the patience for this sort of game. I'm sure if I played it on holiday or something I might get into it.

<goes to book holiday> Thats the only time I really use my iPad.

Are the upper buildings spaced out to distance the troop entry point - making the journey to your defence longer and harder to survive? I was intending to ask about this as I notice seemingly sparse camps are a pain in the **** to attack. They make life especially difficult for wall breakers.

Also is the builder huts in the corners thing purely just to prevent 100% damage?

I tried to stay off coc last night but couldn't stop thinking about it. I ended up tweaking my base again ...at 3am. Five hours sleep in two nights. I blame you, Ross.

Anyway, this any good?..

Before work I swapped my empty containers out for the cannons.

They are spaced out so the castle can't be baited from the top and to make the journey as long as possible to the defences, the more raiders are held up, especially in range of towers, the better. Builder's hut is easily missed, 98% destruction is still only 2 stars.

New base is okay Joe, right most collector isn't protected at all like that. Those walls are better used on another compartment inside. The best you can do at TH4 is roughly arranging your towers in a 9x9 sudoku shape with the mortar in the middle. You can offset each row of towers by 1 wall square to make it harder to open two compartments at once, if you know what I mean.
