Also, starting 01-01-2015 seller's fees are up from 8,0% to 8,4% :awe:

I bid on item. I win item. I submit payment immediately.

Payment sits unclaimed because seller has specified an e-mail address in their eBay profile which is different to that of their PayPal account.

Seller cancels order on eBay with no explanation.

I therefore cancel unclaimed payment.

My money sits on temporary hold and I'm out of pocket for a several days for no **** reason.

Gotta love sellers who accept best offers but never respond to them. I see these sellers are active yet don't even decline the offers they get.

EDIT: Is there a new spell checking software here or something? My typo was fixed before I managed to hit edit...

Sold a chair, wrote local pickup only. Highest bidder lives 300 km away, have it collected via a shipping agency. One day after the pickup he sues me, saying the condition of the leather is used (it's a 70+ year old Bauhaus chair and I had uploaded 10 highres pics showing that it's used (and of course it was also described as used. jesus, it's **** antique!)). Now paypal is **** me, I have to pay für the shipping agency (twice if I want the chair back) plus I have negative feedback on ebay. :problem:

FFS. :problem:

Ebay won't do anything at all in disputes over description, but surely the 'collection only' tickbox removes you of all responsibility of his courier cost?!

Is he literally sueing? :palm: What a Cynthia.

I'd be inclined to see his bluff and refuse to refund at least the shipping. Ebay might ignore the sales agreement details but the court won't. You already have the bad feedback anyway. What is there to lose?

How can Ebay ignore the item description like that? That's ****.

---

Here's another Ebay purchase I am wrestling with. I was shipped 150+ EUR item in a plain jiffy bag with no extra padding from Germany. Shipping cost me 10 EUR and the item arrived with the packaging and other contents completely crushed and ruined but the item itself, a small external viewfinder for a camera, didn't suffer any damage. I contacted the seller, and they wanted to sort it out outside of Ebay and offered me 10 EUR back. That would have just covered the shipping I was overcharged with, but not the damage done. So I said 10 EUR wasn't enough. Now they are saying that returning it is the only option then. I'm waiting for Ebay to step in, but I have a feeling this time it's the buyer who gets **** over.

Oh ffs, did he expect the condition of the 70 year old used leather to be anything other than used? :problem:

What a bellend, surely he doesn't have a leg to stand on legally? eBay/PayPal protection is skewed far too much in the buyer's favour. Selling on eBay's such a **** chore.

Urgh TRK :( I don't understand why people think it's ok to ship anything fragile by just stuffing it in a jiffy. Do they think they're indestructible?

I wanted a partial refund, I received a full refund. I feel bad because I didn't even ask for a full refund. The power of Ebay of customer service is ridiculous. It's like a BFG 9000 to sort out a playground quarrel. :(

Maybe we should start collecting names of ebay sellers who don't give a ****?

My first contribution is the seller "luciacards" with the ebay store http://stores.ebay.com/luciacard/. Don't bother buying posters from this guy. He'll roll them instead of folding but he won't mail it in a tube. Just some bubble wrap, brown paper and lots of tape to be sure the buyer doesn't receive what they paid for. Also he'll overcharge you on the shipping by about 100% so that you'll feel completely ripped off.
