What amazing software.
It's good innit? I bet you plonked your HMS on a Red Hat server. :D

Check out Volumio too. I have that on a Pi and it works adequately. :penser:

I'll be getting an Apple TV in a while, I'll try Plex then, as my NAS has a native Plex server already.

Plex would be good. I can't be bothered to re-learn **** though.

I currently use jails to run old stuff (like squeeze server) does freenas support squeezebox? I'm running a 64bit chip, which makes it even more of a pita.

Synology NAS with plex media server module builit in > macmini running plex client, took about 3-4hrs to scan everything and about 2 months to sort all the content correctly!! :awe:

Wouldn't be without it now though...well except if one of the drives fail!!...no redundancy.. :palm:

Dear Lads,

I caved and bought that Fiio X5 today.

It looks very fun.

Yours sincerely,

Doesn't need one really. You can use it as a DAP (can power some demanding cans and handle IEM's properly apparently), or change it so it works as a DAC when connected by USB.

Upgraded the fw yesterday to 2.2 and it seems to be great from the short time spent with it.

Have a couple of bits to hook it up to, see how it goes. Time to find some DSD stuffs!
