Lindy

Post by andygeezer »

Okay this is a sample of one of the project lindbergh cabinets I can get:

Now these are brand new (never been sited), but never been finished due to SegaUK not having all the parts (and I believe they have no plans to make any more Lindbergh universal cabinets, due to poor sales due the price of the thing being £6500 new).

You could probably modify to make them sit-down, just need to make some new bolt holes.

Only a few available and don't expect £100..

If They aren't silly money - count me in for one.

Will it be collectable at the same time as the Naomi?

The SD pics look fantastic. I'm guessing that it's a std VOSA mount?

What's missing then, coin door, screen & speakers?

Screen & speakers will be covered by a decent 32" lcd, what about that door though :?

I'm sure we could get them from Japan. What kind of ball park are we talking?

Edit: in case it's not clear i'm also in if's not menatl cash :awe:

is it specifically meant for a 32" tv? How easy or not would it be to mount one? Anyone got any pics of a Lindy as its meant to be (with monitor etc)?

Whats the width of the CP?

Could be tempted.....

Okay, all are missing coin door, front lid door, coin entry, topper box, complete LCD assy (which had the speakers), some also don't have PSU etc, not that they are much use as they are Lindbergh PSUs.

Coin doors I might be able to get, Sega used an Italian company to-do those, they are exactly the same as the Naomi ones (frame/single door), except black instead of white.

I am trying to source some of the missing components, and trying to come up with some solutions.

Anyone got a 32" LCD with VESA mounting?? I want to see if I can get a proto-type up and running.. :o

Guys, this is only on loan to me to see what can be done with them.

No way I can take anymore cabs till the Naomi deal has been done.

Price is going to be around £800 - £995 (this includes VAT and carriage costs), I told you it wasn't going to be cheap.. More I take, the cheaper the price..

Bit expensive for a TV stand....

Andy I've got that large 4:3 Plasma with Vesa mounts - do you think it'll fit easily?

hi

the viewing distance for a plasma is too low , will look extreme grainy, especially when it comes to old plasmas like the Pio 401/402.

i`d go with a nice 720p 32" or 37" LCD ,for lowres stuff i would add a nice midclass scaler like the DVDO Edge.

Man speaks the truth, even the best plasmas have that plasma haze when you get up close, they're not designed for this sorta thing.
