Xenepp had 3 R-Type boot/conversions on Ebay that weren't shifting at around £90 BIN. Seems a bit harsh because it's a lot of work to convert. I would have thought at £80 it would fly out the door.

They did go pretty quick, I was after one and missed out, just the wrong time of year for me.

£250-£300 maybe for a real one now. If it's a good boot I'd still say at least £60. It's pretty rare and pretty sought after.

What does a super monkey ball panel cost these days?

About a billion euro? Analogue ZR panel or analogue baseball panel is much cheaper and does the job with some minor loom work... obviously doesn't look like a big banana tho.

I thought they could all be resurrected, but only AS 2i? Is that not correct?

In any case, I think at least one of mine is 2i so the question still stands...

They can all be resurrected as a 2i but it requires the ability to desolder a TSOP chip, reprogram it or a new one (and the hardware to do that) then resolder it back to the cart PCB.

Whereas a 2i cart you just clip the battery off.

A working 2i can be had for £35-£40. I would suggest a dead cart of any other game would be worth half or less. 3s maybe at the desirable end, in the hope that one day all carts can be resurrected.
