Removed from sale
I'm actually having fun with this. There are things that need addressing but I'll see what the inevitable v1.5 update brings.
Arcade mode seems a tad tougher. It has a timer system and no continues. I've got to the fourth level without much effort. I need to put aside a couple of hours and see the whole game. It's not an arcade game at all, more like an old school console game before the days of memory cards. Like an ugly Turrican/Metroid hybrid that needs some tweaking to balance the gameplay.

Re: Gun Lord
So yeah, I updated to v1.1 which fixes a lot of my issues with the game...
You're far less inclined to use the laser all the time now and the boss fights are much, much better. The game has certainly grown on me. It's still got a very indie look and feel and it doesn't really function as an arcade game but it's a decent 16bit explore-a-thon with a lot of character. Probably NG DEV's best game.

Re: Gun Lord
Did you try the new final boss fight yet? You should get a real kick out of it.

Did anyone figure out how the level select cheat works?
