Would be nice if you could post a few pictures or provide some advice on how you made it fit.
When you try to tate the monitor, does the metal frame or the neckboard hit the back or does the tube not fit between the mounts?
Do you use a premade frame or did you build one yourself?

I'm still wondering if a custom/modified neckboard and or longer wires to the chassis would be a possible solution....

i didn't really have the time to mess with another monitor, lately. i'm not even sure what brand might have had a good 19" tube. did you use a real arcade moditor? maybe we should make a list of what we tried.

good plan. i will try to do the same, but there probably won't be too many more updates this year.

there's a lot left on my to do list:

- install marquee light
- install marquee
- make a new coin box door
- hook up the coin mech
- hook up the headphone connector
- re-do the power wiring
- install a hidden test switch
- install a hidden coin button for late night sessions
...
- try to make a 19" monitor fit
- new bezel
- try to find a marquee holder

i've had my cab for about a year, btw. :palm:

since pretty much everything that once came with the cab was missing when i bought it, i can't really tell if there's adifference. what i was worried about was whether or not it would show that there's not just one thing that glows behind the marquee. there are 18 leds in total and fortunately one can't tell.

i misplaced the original tube holder, so i had to build a temporal solution. i just hope that i didn't bin the original piece ...

many complained that you can't put the slg on pcb feet because the only holes in the pcb are blocked by some metal bits that are probably there to hold the surface mounted d-sub connectors in place. also, there's a wire from two of those bits to gnd on the pcb.

i removed most of the metal bits and soldered the gnd wire to the side of the d-sub connector.

easy fix, really.

Hey nice work on the cab :awe:

Can I ask what wire you used for the ground on the slg3000?? The wire on mine is too short to solder to the side of the dsub. I have some kynar wire here that I use for rgb modding consoles etc would this be ok as it is a fair bit thinner than the cable currently used to gnd the slg3000??

Thanks

it is thinner than the original one, but it seems to work well enough. to be honest, i just used some leftover wire that would have otherwise gone in the bin.
