instructions for mame cab.....buy old cab with decent monitor.....remove game....insert computer and appropriate adapters....power on......enjoy

why all the ****-ery?
Frankly I'm more concerned with the x-arcade-on-a-shelf idea. People who "build" (and I use the term loosely) these cabs don't think about proper monitors. Pc monitors are also cheaper and much more easily acquired. The X-arcade isn't even a good stick, but then most of these cabs are by Americans, and the yank (or brit for that matter) cabs were hardly built with superior parts for the most part

There's nothing wrong with using a PC monitor on a MAME converted cab but if it was originally fitted with a 25" CRT a 15" lcd is just going to look pants. Size matters.... In everything.
2 * Vewlix Diamond Blacks,2 * Vewlix-F, 1 * Sega Rally 3, 1 * Video Pinball, 1 * DinoKing (JAMMA Converted).

I'm still trying to figure out the control layout of this thing. Two sticks, 4 buttons in the middle. Is it two players who get to share the same buttons? Or is it just a 1 player setup that uses 2 joysticks?

its so people have the option of playing left or right handed

some people are retarded

if people ask me to add controls beyond a 2 stick 12 button layout i say no...

'but i want a spinner'...NO

'but i want a trackball'...NO

'can you make things light up'...NO

the only buttons i add are coin buttons and a power on/off switch for the PC......

if you want a spinner or a trackball...get a cab that originally had one and i will make it work....

i really hate seeing halfway decent original cabs(even woodies) brutalized in the name of idiocy....and candys should never be mamed other than jamma interfaces that can be swapped out....

and i will never put a PC monitor in a cab EVER....if the monitor is that ****, either replace it with another arcade monitor or find another cab.....
on the loose

HAH! I thought I'd never see that pic again. IIRC my man Dubs made that like 3 years ago. Also, IIRC, it was him showing me that picture that prompted me to ditch my entire video game collection (woodie included) and upgrade to candies. Nice one hahahah
