Re: The best 31K monitor
I'm sure some on here will agree that my Nanao MS29-34 has quite a nice 31k picture.

Re: The best 31K monitor
It could just be down to age / use, but my 2931 is much sharper than the 2930.
Both have excellent 15k pictures, but the 30 seems a softer. Colours are not as vibrant

Jan, how did you access the extended controls on your Tosh PF? It's hard as hell to find any info on this monitor

Re: The best 31K monitor
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a Blast City with a MS2931 monitor. Should I hold off? I thought this monitor was the shiznit, but after reading this I'm not so sure. I'm gonna get pics of the internals to see if it is gunked up bad.
Also, what is involved in getting it to run at 15khz if that is better? I was planning on plugging it directly into my computer running at 640x480 60hz. Am I gonna fry it?

btw, the chassis make the best picture i have ever seen in 15k and 31k. even better than a pfx!
sadly they was only in the first gen. of e3s and a short time in japanese net citys, so its nearly impossible to get one of this babys new or used.
someone here told me(andygeezer?), that the monitor/chassis combi from toshiba was too expensive for taito/sega, so they took other cheaper monitors for their cabs.
to enter the service menu i found only 1 way, but i´m sure there must be a button combi....
i have plugged a 10k poti between menu (function) and ground....
when I adjust 5k on the poti and press the button, I get the geometry setup onscreen, 0 ohm I get the menu where I can change the colors and when I adjust the poti to 3 k I can change the hsync....
Hi! I'm new member ! I have a new net city with a tosh pd1843, i would like to go to secret menu.
Can anybody explain me how to proceed ?
