Re: Arcade Stool Resto
Very nice!
Did my two chairs a while back. Well worth the effort for sure.

Re: Arcade Stool Resto
Thanks chaps. It's definately worth the effort - I got all the bits (foam, material) for under £20 which is enough for probably 8 stools.

I'd suggest you measure the height of the CP on your Ponys first. The Mk 3's for example are higher than an Astro/Windy/Egret and these stools seat you too low for them.

Re: Arcade Stool Resto
Aye - some of the braver peeps import them from Yahoo Japan, and occasionally the likes of RKLOK get them in as space fillers on containers of machines.
I got two of mine from Cools with the Windies and three more from Markedkiller78 just yesterday. All slightly rough, but all will clean up beautifully.

Yeah, sorry you didn't get the forth. I had asked for it a while ago, but Mark and I are pretty busy people and we've not been able to arrange a time we are both available yet. Sorry! I can assure you I'll appreciate it though as I've been playing on upturned Ikea plastic buckets for several months. Sore on the butt!Devil Soundwave wrote:...I got .... three .... from Markedkiller78 just yesterday...

No worries mate, i was just being cheeky and chancing my arm anyway...
I needed at least 5 for my placement, and I have those, so all is good.

Re: Arcade Stool Resto
I still have yours here Parris. I’ll see if we can swing by this weekend when we take the dog out.
8 of mine came from YHJ. 1 from Rklok & another 2 from Mr Megalo (New & direct from river service)
I’m down to 6 now in my personal, which is handy as I plan on cutting back on cabs over the summer (or when I get a spare 10 seconds
They are too low for a cyberlead & too high for an Aero Table. New, you could be looking at £60-100 ea! So as cools says, measure up before you drop a fortune on them.

Sounds like an opportunity for someone good with metal like FrancoB to make a mint off selling custom JP-style arcade stools at varying heights for various cabinets.markedkiller78 wrote:They are too low for a cyberlead & too high for an Aero Table. Re: Stool Recovering
Where would I buy replacement stool caps?
I sort of expected that (whenever I could be arsed to look for them) searching ebay or google shopping for "stool caps" and sorting by lowest price would present me with loads for about 20p each. But it didn't work!

These look like the best match. I can't find any tapered ones.
