I can't see any evidence whatsoever that those boards are anything but original.

Yes, that's an original board, it may have had its region changed or something, judging by the stickerless EPROMs.

It’s still JPN region, I assume that’s what it started as. As long as it’s legit I’m happy.Magic Knight wrote:Yes, that's an original board, it may have had its region changed or something, judging by the stickerless EPROMs.
Thanks for the help Magic Knight, I’ve agreed to sell it, but didn’t want to end up selling a boot inadvertently.

There are only seven ROMs different between CE and Turbo, I have a Turbo which was a CE and was converted by the seller. Yours is fine, just looks like some ROMs were replaced for repair or something. Best to let the buyer know beforehand though, just in case.markedkiller78 wrote:It’s still JPN region, I assume that’s what it started as. Re: Boot or Original : Post original/bootleg PCB photos here
I finally check out this thread as I just recieved my first CPS1 game, this board seems to have a ton of different looking versions of the top and middle boards, yet are all legit. Mine looks legit to me at least....

I just got three wonders, and it looks like my roms are in a different placement than other boards I've seen, yet the boards look just like the other one's I've seen. (and yes there's a static bag between the pcb and the spiral it's laying on
) I like how the last 10 or so posts are about CPS1 stuff. I don't feel so bad

That one looks like a conversion from one or more games. The ROMs definitely don't look original anyway, judging by the labels. The B and C board are correct for Three Wonders, and are also used on a few other games, like Warriors of Fate and Megaman.

Yeah, I read up on CPS stuff today and apparantly the boards are pretty interchangeable, and it's pretty common to get one that has parts from other games (especially for fixing one). It doesn't seem to have any issues, I'm pretty ignorant with CPS1 stuff as this is my first CPS1 board.Magic Knight wrote:That one looks like a conversion from one or more games. Really love the game though

All of the Bubble Bobbles on YAJ right now are bootlegs, the (C) in the description stands for 'copy'. They may not even work, they're from the worst seller in the history of Yahoo Auctions.

Re: Boot or Original : Post original/bootleg PCB photos here
That was quick!
The chance of it being a boot was very slim (as I got it from a great seller) but good to know for a possible new owner that it has been checked.
Thanks

With all the CPS1 Conversion talk, I figure I should post up my Willow board for inspection.
