I can make things like this to order, but prices are quite high to get them in that condition.. Pete's cab went from zero to around £2500 (in today's value).fagin wrote:We'll see!!!!Pete wrote:Not this cab mate, only stick stuff !

Re: Outrun 2 Sitdown Driver
Out of curiosity, how readily available are the dashboards for OR2? Also, if you've got an old Touring Cars dashboard, which looks the same (plastics, buttons, gear shift), is it possible to use that as the basic start for one of these or does the metal parts to the rear of the panel not have the same fixing points etc?andygeezer wrote:I can make things like this to order, but prices are quite high to get them in that condition.. I think 2500k would be too rich for anyone, however 2.5k is slightly more affordable.Pete wrote:I think 2500K is too rich for most members here !

Re: Outrun 2 Sitdown Driver
Your outrun2 cab is great looking
Is outrun realy that unplayable on a idcab without the proper dash
?

Im also intrested in knowing this Or for the lack of knowing better, would it not be possible just to change the wheel on the id dash for an outrun wheel?Parris wrote:

from what i see in the manuals id guess maybe probably a gear cogs teeth ratio that makes the difference in the steering detups ,could be talking through my **** also !

Turn circle is higher on ID, it's around 305 degrees, while most use a 270 degree turning circle.. This translates into drifting issue with OR2, as you have to over steer to drift, which feels wrong.. ID plays okay with a 270 wheel, while OR2 plays oddly on the 305 degree wheel.
Scud panels are rare as hens teeth unless you buy a complete scud race.

Re: Outrun 2 Sitdown Driver
No basically if it has the same servo motor then it should be okay, which includes all the Model 3 racers (except Lemans) and Nascar Arcade and F355 Challenge Twin

Re: Outrun 2 Sitdown Driver
Just to clarify the point then, the ratio is wrong when using a Sega Touring dash or just ID dash? I have both so could I simply us the Sega Touring dash as a basis for the OR2/Scud Dash? I.e. will the servos usually found on a Scud dash fit the Sega Touring panel? (if you can find replacement servos that is!)

Re: Outrun 2 Sitdown Driver
No Touring car is wrong and will have no support for M3 servo/belt setup.. However it's probably more playable with touring car setup than ID setup with feedback.Parris wrote:Just to clarify the point then, the ratio is wrong when using a Sega Touring dash or just ID dash? Re: Outrun 2 Sitdown Driver
Was going for a modded 1 that I was working on from a 2Spicy cab, smaller than the original, just not sure if I like the look fullstop.
