Does anyone know the purpose of the 4.7k resistor found on CPS2 B boards with revision 93646B-4? It's located at connector CN2 and bridges pins A32 and C32.
I've only recently started getting into CPS2 games and have 2 boards with that revision but only one has the resistor. I couldn't find any information online explaining what the resistor does. The game I have without it is X-Men COTA, the game with the resistor is Street Fighter Alpha. Both games appear to be working fine.
I have some of the resistors on hand and can put one on the X-Men board while I have it open if it's there for a good reason. Does anyone know?

Re: CPS2 B board resistor question
What board revision is the X-Men?
I saw them too on some boards, but never bothered to add/remove/upgrade others. I'm guessing it is a design flaw and that C32 should be pulled low or high, and they fixed it this way.

Re: CPS2 B board resistor question
Yes, these re are pull-up/pull-down resistor to keep the inputs of a circuit HIGH or LOW when they are disconnected or in high impedance state.
