SEGA JVS I/O 838-13683-93 Testing

Post by simon »

Hi everyone,
I just got an I/O board so I can play JVS games in my Astro City, but I don't have any JVS games yet.

To test if it was working I plugged it into the JAMMA edge and entire cab turns on and off very quickly, and the board makes a licking noise. It sounds like a relay switch. Is this normal behavior?

Is there any way to test this board is working without a JVS game?

Thanks

I had the same kind of sound when my jamma connector is not correctly plug into the PCB (not correctly aligned) .
As for JVS I don't think you can try anything without an actual game.

I have the same problem here. The I/o works fine with the HAS supergun though.

It seems that there is some kind of short circuit is happening
