Screen sync problems

Post by purplec »

Hi

My friend has a cab and we cant seem to sync the screen, belowis a pic of the screen with soul edge playing

We must have tried every pot on the cahssis but cant seem to get the screen to stabilize, we where wondering if it was a wiring issue below is a pic of the rgb grnd and sync lines on the chassis. there is no composite syn only V sync and Hsync and there seems to be positive nd negative types. Is the connector on the right set or are there wires missing

I have attached some pics of the chassis it is a electrohome g19 i think

first try moving to the other plug,if no joy then remove the sync wire and connect it to the h- pin

Grant,

Is it the Electrohome monitor that has the bridged v and h sync?

This chassis doesn't have a seperate e/w board does it?

You could also test for continuity from the sync on the jamma edge to the sync(s) on the video plug. I have had a cab that didn't have continuity that was a simple fix.

Does the h/v hold actually appear to do something on adjusting?

jamma boards are normally negative horizontal sync, just take the sync wire out and put on the -h pin

you can bridge the vertical and horizontal sync

i don't know much about electrohome monitors, not very common in europe
