Random question of the day. Just joined a new mobile network. Gave them my PAC code, popped in the new sim and threw away the old one like a knob thinking it would take them a few hours to transfer the number. It's been 3 days. Will any messages I've received in the meantime come through when the number transfers or only ones after the transfer?

Not sure, but hopefully the messages will just act like they would as if the phone was switched off. I think they get 'queued' for at least 7 days before being discarded. Fingers crossed they don't just get dumped by your old provider.

Make sure you turn your phone on and off every now and again. I seem to remember having to do that the last time I switched provider a few years ago.

Maybe one too may beers this afternoon to write anything meaningful, but i'll give myself a pat on the back and all that jazz!

That being said, I'd also like to send out a genuine message to everyone i've met and dealt with over the past few years that have helped, been helpful, assisted, and genuinely been very cool to meet, chat with, drink with, share with, and generally be cool with.
