Re: Annual Pete Meat 21st June 2025
Gutted we couldn't make it today, was really looking forward to catching up and meeting a load of people.
Finally gave up and back home. Joe managed to get one of the in-between trains that wasn't cancelled, I ended up having to get a taxi home because all mine were.
And after last years failure to get my MiSTer working, I made damn sure this time I had everything setup correctly in case you wanted to see how it worked! My best laid plans were scuppered. Screencap of camera roll over the past 24 hours is of MiSTer updates/config that is was gonna talk to you about and train delays (and Godzilla for a friend's birthday today, one of the few chances to smile!)
Really hope everyone that made it had a cool catch up Meat

Sorry from me too Pete, made it part way there till I got caught up in the Train shenanigans, my train ended up waiting behind a broken down train, then diverted back, then was met with all the cancellations, eventually gave up an went home on a rammed train (it was the only one going back for hours) with no aircon.
Hope the Grill up went well anyway.

Gutted you guys couldn't make it
It's even worse that you all had a wasted and painful journey by the sounds of things
Thanks for hosting and for the hospitality Mr and Mrs Pete
Was great to see some faces new and some definitely older
Hope to see you all again and much sooner than the last time I did.
Bonus points to Beansy for his valliant effort on the Slug2 1CC

Re: Annual Pete Meat 21st June 2025
Pete thanks for organising this. Just got home had a much smoother journey than some today. Hope it all worked out and everyone’s managed to get home safely.
Great afternoon and evening really fun to catch-up with people and put many (many) new faces to names.
As a thank you I’ve snuck a very little retro gaming related gift into your arcade room. Keep an eye out for it tomorrow (like a Where’s Wally arcade edition
