Shame the back semi circle couldnt be a removable cover. SCART on a cable though... Is it still socketed inside?

Has anyone run a comparison between this and Groovymame's latest build? I use the latter in one of my cabs, and it works wonderfully, but not quite perfectly, so I'd be interested to read any comparisons.

Depends what you want to compare.
I'd expect at least CPS1 to win on timing accuracy. I don't know beyond that. Mame is many miles ahead. Mister appeal is a bit different. It's great at the fraction of Mame that it can do - and does so with low power, minimal setup, without booting Windows or Linux first, and with practically no input lag (vs up to 1 frame in a good GM setup, so this is splitting pubic hairs).
It's a bit unfair to both projects to consider them in competition, though slightly hard to avoid.

I quite like it. Just hope the 3D printing doesnt look as unfinished as it is in the photos.

Not sure if I can afford one. I was under the impression I would need to have the cash in mid October. Don't have any right now.

I bought this from Antonio Villena, who incidentally , after checking the posts here, got into arcade collecting later than I did but has already done so much more for it.

Also bought this from him

Probably the most I spent on any kit in a while. Ill be selling some pcbs to recoup.

Yoooooooo, why did I wait so long for a MiSTer?
It's freaking amazing. The CPS2 and CPS1 /1.5 cores are perfect. What the hell.

Any Multisystem owners? What're your thoughts after using one for a while? Do you wish you had gone for a different solution?

Re: MiSTer FPGA - Cave 68000 Core Beta Released
Do you mean mister in general? No regrets for pre-pandemic prices but i would think twice for current prices. It's a pretty worry-free way to play lowres 16bit and psx. Not really sure what the alternative would be though, groovy or a pi i guess?LEGENOARYNINLIA wrote: February 2nd, 2024, 6:03 pm Any Multisystem owners? Seeing the amounts of bugs in changelogs and such it doesn't quite live up to the supposed "perfect" hardware clone image it has, for me it's still a more hassle-free and above all quick way to fire up emulators, it's basically instant-on.

Re: MiSTer FPGA - Cave 68000 Core Beta Released
Not going to happen. Unlikely you'll be able to recreate the SH3 and the GPU on the Cyclone V.
Best chance at this point is MARS, assuming it ever actually sees the light of day.
